i just got away from the big city (17 years) and decided to go back to trains. this is the best train sim to date. and i have played every one that was out there. they were all fun in their own way but this one is different. its fun to fly it and the scenery is amazing. they did a great job with this simulator and are always listening and making it better. i have not even touched multi-player. i don’t have any pc that will run it unless i put one out on ebay. keep up the great work.
fsx is the best commercial flight simulator that i ever purchased. i love this game. the quality is good, the graphics nice and the gameplay fun. i will be getting this new version soon. well, at least i will make sure that i will get it. i have no interest in multi-player unless all of my fsx friends want to play with me. then it will be real good. i am glad that i have joined the steam group, as the sales are good. they must have a lot of interest by the number of people that have joined.
i’ve used these before, they were great for the price and the fact that it’s steam so i tend to pick up games on steam all the time. this time, i picked it up cause i couldn’t get half-life 2 installed (it says on the other steam page that it’s compatible). i’m using windows 8.1 and my laptop is a 2015 model, i’m not sure if it’s 8.0 or 8.1, i’ll find out and see what happens. i’ll update this review when i find out. hopefully you can.
fsxse has never been the best flight simulator but it has had a great community and its ability to run on older computers made it a favorite of mine. i never dreamt that it would continue to improve after years of being released and i’m honored to be a part of that flight sim community.
tj williams my fsx and its add ons has its own ssd with nothing else on it. i’ve got a second ssd with win7 and all the drivers on and a 2tb hdd for everything else. steam is installed on the hdd. i don’t get any random crashes normally it does go slightly white saying not responding but leave it alone and its find after a minute or two. my original fsx only crashed as soon as i installed the steam edition. on the free flight screen it crashes whenever i pressed any of the sub menus like aircraft selection etc. since a full reinstall of win and fsx ive had no problems and the steam edition will stay in my steam library until the day every add on is supported. i havnt taken a good look at prep3d yet but if it goes 64 but it will be worth a look. only problem being ive already spent $90 on the pmdg 777 and i can’t justify another $130 for the prep3d version. with active sky next, rex 4 texture direct and sceneries i have it looks a lot nicer than out of the box prep3d. i’m running a i7 4790k 4.7ghz and 2 x gtx770 all watercooled so i am able to use nvidea dynamic super resolution 4k on my 1080p monitors and still get 25fps at heathrow on vatsim. for the questions above, i have been experiencing fsx steam edition for quite a time now. there are a lot of postve features but the most important one is directx 10 support. this makes the graphics quality better and you get more fps. second one is memory usage. fsx was my first flight simulator and i think it’s still the best, but i never liked the more recent versions, i like the look of the map and stuff, but don’t like the fly animations and the stupid big crosshair..as for the new edition of fsx, i can’t see any good thing about it.i don’t want to buy the download. it’s too expensive, and it doesn’t look better than fsx.so we’ll see. 5ec8ef588b
