Weight Loss & Diet Pills And Supplements – Gimmicks Or not?

“Take the azure pill…take the red pill…?”… recall the line?

“Take the azure pill…take the white pill…?”… recall the series?

These are the very first words uttered… the movie line is taken from The Matrix (1999). The context of the statement is the fact that “Neo” (Keanu Reeves) is dwelling in a planet of controlled perception. Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne), the captain of the “movement” in the film, is leading young Neo by way of a crazy ride in “reality” vs. perception. As with the film it’s my job, as a personal trainer, to guide people through a journey in perception.

Even during “real-life” it seems that we, as depicted in this film, simply think that taking a medicine is able to provide us all the solutions to the needs of ours. My question to help you is…”Do you think all the issues of yours can be fixed by shooting a pill?” Do you truly assume that information are available from pills or perhaps do you believe that answers come from individual responsibility? I guess the true concern is…”Do you have confidence in “cure” or prevention?

Apart from the quirky video comparison… What is your perspective as related to health, fitness, and better living? Does better living come from better pharmacology? Sure…I guess large numbers of lives are saved from illness, genetic failures, and illness. Do we accept responsibility for the behavior of ours that contributes directly to health which is bad and fitness? Are most risk factors for illness lifestyle induced? Even when the latest fat reduction pill did work – Is it going to work life long? What are the risks related to many of the latest weightloss pills? Virtually any pill we take has a “side effect” attached to the use of its in individuals that are many. It seems folks are ready to pay basically anything to get their hands on the latest diet pill, or weight loss gimmick out there. Worse – prescription medications are passed out such as candy to a huge selection of a huge number of obese folks. As most people know many of these medications have confirmed to be pretty dangerous, even deadly.

I assume many of the questions and frustrations I get from people related how to lose weight fast in 2 weeks without exercise preventative activity, exercise, or fitness, could be traced to one vitally important as well as essential question: Are we a solution driven society or perhaps a prevention driven society? Does it make sense that the most up carbo-blocker, fat burner or maybe fat loss pill will reverse years of very poor living? Do you truly assume that your personal responsibility can be absolved by a pill?

Lets’ grab the normal style of “dieting” for example: one program works like this, you are taking several pills in the early morning – have a nutritional shake in the afternoon, chug down another couple of pills by late evening, and eat a boxed, pre-portioned, specialized dinner at night. OK. – What happens when you go off this diet program? I assume all of the spectacular results just vanish entirely! Without a doubt, they tell you to have this particular product, then that product…then hold your breath for 10 seconds while getting up and down…ok…ok, I am getting carried away – I know. The point is; in case you have to draw the special pills and perform the special diet you simply won’t get it done for long – that is why it’s called a weight loss program. The name itself assures the individual that it is a thing that you start and stop! No, friends – better lifestyle isn’t something you begin & stop, it’s something you reap some benefits from whenever you accept responsibility for the care of your health and body.

So what is the right formula? Well, the answer of mine is asking yourself some really important questions.

One; Will you believe that personal responsibility supersedes a cure-all (diet pill)?
