the demo was built in unreal engine 4, and i saw a fair amount of the magic that enables games like this. the game uses an ai system to calculate what sections of the map are going to be important to you and what you should be going after. it uses ai-controlled cars to coordinate a chase down the length of the map, and uses a real-time physics system to make sure that all of the vehicles behave believably. and of course, this is all being done in real-time.
if you want to do a bit of exploring on foot, you can do that. it feels a bit like far cry 5, and there are plenty of side-missions to do, and areas to explore. most of the side-missions are fairly simple, but the city itself is enormous, and there are plenty of places to explore. if you like to fly around, too, there are some beautiful, high-speed drone runs you can do. there is a control system for that, too, and the system works pretty well. it was especially nice to be able to play with an oculus rift in the vr menu, because this game also uses a vr-like motion system that creates a virtual space around you to give you the feeling of being able to fly around a large, sprawling cityscape. it works really well, and i had a great time exploring the city with this game.
and in between all of this, there are several minutes of gameplay, which includes a bloody, intense car chase through a war-torn version of the city. the cars are properly controlled, and everything looks pretty good and feels like it should, if a bit rough around the edges. i did notice a few glitches (and plenty of crashes), but overall, it runs pretty smoothly.
the days became tracks, we found where you can drive around a bit of the world. we used the environment generator to make an environment with some well-known names, like the destruction zone and the game.

1nsane’s open road mode lets you discover off-road racing at its most unadulterated and is set in the wilds of exotic locations, including africa, australia, new zealand and the usa. jump into either a fast sportscar or a heavy-duty 4×4 vehicle and battle over a host of unique routes, including volcanoes, pyramids, skyscrapers, massive trucks and more. the open road mode features 25 different routes to uncover, including existing courses from the game, as well as brand new routes that will take players to the most stunning locations around the world. the open road mode also includes a driver rank system. as you complete challenges and race, you will gain upgrades to your vehicle, which will give you a boost to your driver rank, with the higher rank able to unlock new tracks, vehicles and stickers. a unique feature of the open road mode is the real-time weather system, which will change your vehicle’s traction, braking, and handling depending on how wet the road is. you can also use this feature to destroy obstacles to earn bonus points. the open road mode features are further enhanced by the game’s photo mode. with photo mode you can take up to four photos, as well as share your top 10 best with friends.
