AutoCAD 23.1 Crack + Free Download X64
The origins of AutoCAD can be traced to various drawing and drafting software programs developed in the 1960s and 1970s. The closest commercial ancestor is the 3D drafting program Sketchpad, developed in 1974 by Autodesk, and published by Small Systems in 1977. Sketchpad was adapted to run on the Xerox Star computer system. The first Star model (Xerox 9100) was introduced in 1975 and had a 2.58MHz Motorola 68000 microprocessor, and 32k of RAM. When the first models were released in 1976, it came with the single original version of Sketchpad for Windows. The Star/Sketchpad systems provided a PC-like experience. The PC concept had only recently been developed (in the late 1970s), and the PC’s memory was in a form known as core memory, whereas the Star’s was in a form known as dynamic memory. The PC’s method of operation was through a program called DOS, whereas the Star had its own multitasking operating system called Xenix. In 1977, Autodesk bought Sketchpad and re-engineered it to run on its own new PC architecture. This new application was initially named “Storagewriter”, and was available for both the Apple IIe and the Xerox Alto minicomputers. In 1979, the first version of AutoCAD was released for the Xerox Alto and the Apple IIe. It was initially marketed for use by architects, engineers and drafters to create and share design documents and parts lists. The earliest version of AutoCAD was a simpler application than it is today. This version was called “Construction Workbench” and was initially available as a stand-alone system for the Apple IIe and the Xerox Alto computers. Later that year, in December 1979, Autodesk combined Sketchpad and Construction Workbench to form AutoCAD. Sketchpad and Construction Workbench, both running on the Apple IIe computer, shared a common architecture and made extensive use of overlapping features. The Sketchpad window could be repositioned to take up most of the screen, and the user could switch between the two programs. The two programs shared many core commands (drawing and editing), with the exception of basic page layout and printing. The Apple IIe computer could not handle advanced page layout or printing commands, so it was not possible to

Objects Objects are objects in AutoCAD. Objects are AutoCAD’s “objects”. Objects in AutoCAD are the basic building block of every design. Objects come in several different shapes, and may contain other objects. The term “objects” has two different meanings in AutoCAD: The definition of objects for the purposes of the user interface and object definition in the design software. AutoCAD defines objects as items within a drawing that you can move, rotate, scale and arrange in your drawing. Objects are used to show, store and communicate your design. The Autodesk Exchange store sells plugins for AutoCAD that extend AutoCAD’s object functionality. Some of these include: The Photostitch team offers a plugin for AutoCAD 2015 that automatically stitched photo-realistic floor plans and architectural drawings together. A weather plugin for AutoCAD 2010 is available to calculate the temperature and forecast the weather. Designer objects Designer objects are objects which are more developed than other objects and provide more functionality. Typically, designer objects are enhanced with information to help build the object. Examples of designer objects include: Drafting objects Drafting objects are designer objects which allow a user to create a shape by drawing with the mouse and (optionally) keyboard. They are normally used in conjunction with command objects. Drafting objects may contain many other objects and components. Non-designer objects Non-designer objects are objects that are not user-created (except maybe by the drawing template that was used to create the drawing). They are objects that are created by AutoCAD by itself and included in AutoCAD’s library. Examples of non-designer objects include: Layers and extent objects Layers are special types of objects that are used to create a hierarchy in which objects of different types can be arranged. Layers are typically arranged in groups called layers groups, with each group having a unique color. The levels of each layer group are represented in a different color. Layers and extent objects are non-designer objects. Levels Layers are used in various AutoCAD programs to define the visible surfaces of objects and the areas that appear on screen when the various commands are used. These surfaces can include the visible faces of the part, the model surface and the top surface of the part. Layers define the visible surfaces of a 3D model. L af5dca3d97
